For over 30 years, Jill Henderson has dedicated her career to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain. She holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and began her career at Stanford University’s Center for Research in Disease Prevention, later joining the Sports Medicine Institute (SMI) in Palo Alto. There, she worked with a wide range of clients — from Olympians, NCAA and professional athletes, to  weekend warriors, musicians and individuals seeking recovery from injury or stress.

Since relocating to the Big Island of Hawaiʻi in 2013, Jill has continued to bring that same level of precision and care to her private practice, serving both local residents and visiting clients who make the island their second home. She also shares her expertise as co-coach for Cross Country and Head Coach for Track & Field at Parker School in Waimea.

A lifelong athlete, Jill was an NCAA collegiate volleyball player, and has continued to pursue her love of movement through running, triathlon, and open-water swimming. She is currently a competitive outrigger canoe paddler with Kawaihae Canoe Club. These experiences continually deepen her understanding of athletic recovery, balance, resilience and joy.

Why I Do This Work

I love helping people recover from injuries or chronic issues that can feel like the end of their active lives. But, the scope of my practice doesn’t end with deep tissue sports rehab therapy. I have years of experience with pre/post natal, surgical recovery, and end of life care massage.

There’s something deeply rewarding about offering real, hands-on solutions to pain and dysfunction—yes, pun intended! My approach is practical, compassionate, and rooted in decades of experience.
